Craft Development Funding
If you are a craft maker in Skye, Lochalsh or Wester Ross you can now apply to An Tuireann for funding for the development of your practice.
A new fund specifically for individual craft practitioners has been set up by An Tuireann with assistance from the Scottish Arts Council and HIE Skye and Wester Ross.
Makers are welcome to apply for a grant of up to £1,000 towards one or more of the following: equipment, research and development, preparing for new exhibitions, travel costs to events/exhibitions and craft-relevant short courses. The fund will support craft makers/practitioners to develop new areas of work.

The Trustees of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, in partnership with the Scottish Arts Council and the Royal Scottish Academy of Art, seek applications for the following posts : Writer in Residence Musician in Residence Visual Artist in Residence We are looking for the Writer and the Musician to take up post in September 2007, with the Visual Artist's commencement date yet to be decided.

The successful candidate will be working with an established and effective core team.
